Listen Sync is published by WB Productions. This policy explains what the iOS app collects and why.

What the app does

Listen Sync helps nearby iPhones play the same Spotify track at the same time. Music itself is played by the Spotify app on each phone.

Data we collect

Anonymous account ID. The app signs in anonymously to Firebase so a room can be recovered if Bluetooth drops. This ID is not your name, email, or Spotify account.
Room state. Party code, host identifier, listener count, track title/artist/album, play/pause, and playback position. Used only to keep the room in sync.
Spotify login token. Stored in the iOS Keychain on this device so you do not have to reconnect every launch. We do not receive your Spotify password.

Permissions

Bluetooth — find nearby friends and keep the room connected.
Local Network — optional discovery when Automatic nearby mode is used.
Camera — scan a room QR code. Photos are not saved.
Microphone — optional Speaker Match. The app measures timing from nearby speakers. It does not record, store, or upload audio. Only compact timing fingerprints are sent to phones already in your room, over the existing party connection.

What we do not collect

Listen Sync does not use advertising, tracking, or analytics products, and does not sell personal information. It does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or your Spotify listening history beyond the currently playing track needed for sync.

Sharing

Room state may be stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) while a room is active so guests can rejoin if Bluetooth is interrupted. Room documents expire and are deleted. Spotify receives the playback commands you authorize through their app.

Retention

Active room documents are kept only while the room is open, then deleted by the host or by automatic expiry. Spotify tokens remain in Keychain until you disconnect or delete the app. Anonymous Firebase IDs last until you delete or reset the app.

Children

Listen Sync is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

You can decline optional microphone access, skip QR scanning, and end a room at any time. Deleting the app removes local tokens and settings.
